About us

The Camelia Hotel is a family owned award winning hotel and Restaurant on the Sea-front. We hold a Rosette and a prestigeous Gold award with Visit England. We have a friendly team of around forty staff.

This position covers a wide variety of administration, clerical and reception-desk duties which will include taking payments, answering emails and telephone enquiries for the hotel and restaurant, making reservations, welcoming guests on arrival and any other matters, as and when they arise.

To ensure the continuation of our reputation for a friendly and efficient service, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. The successful applicant will have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude, be able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team. As an element of the role is customer-facing, good presentation is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £19,000.00-£21,290.00 per year

  • Southend-On-Sea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Receptionist: 2 years (required)
